evening gents, new to this forum and thought I'd try to find an answer here....
I have a 2001 bravaSX80 which has been a great car for the last few years love it to bits apart from the electrics. latest glitch is the dim/dip switch does not seem to be working ie; turn on lights, side ok, dipped ok, main beam nothing still on dipped. it's not the fuse or the bulbs as the main beam flash is working fine. Rather than strip down the steering wheel and airbag etc to get into the combi switch stalk I was kind of thinking/hoping that it may be a stuck relay, here's the question does anyone know where about in the miles of cables and boxes this wee bugger lives and is it feasible this is what is causing the problem ?

Cheers Paul

Finally fixed it, many thanks to whoever it was that posted a .pdf called "stalkrepair" here (I downloaded it ages ago and can't remember where it was).
After gently levering open the combi switch I found that the center one of the three contact breakers where the lever from the stalk attaches to a kind of rocker thing was not making a connection so bit of prodding and filing did the trick. After putting it all back together and testing it I found the indicators wern't working, then found the blue relay off the combi switch housing sitting on the kitchen windowsill !
