hey. The 12v socket in the ashtray in front of my Bravo is no longer working. Yesterday as my gf was plugging sat nav in, there was a 20p stuck in the socket. She got it out but it wouldn't charge. Checked with my phone charger too and no luck, ruling out a blown fuse in the adapter.

is it possible the 20p shorted something out somewhere and how would i go about fixing it?

sorry if there is a thread already, im on my phone so searching would be a pain!!

thanks in advance

I think the 12V socket is on one of the "services" fuses in the main fusebox under the steering wheel. I'd have a look there for a blown fuse

EDIT: Correction, its a separate fuse in the aux fusebox on the passenger side of the car, second from the bottom on the right row. Should be a 20Amp fuse

Ive never attempted to look at any fusebox anywhere. I know of the one by steering wheel but dont know where the aux one you speak of is...help please :)

Hummm, goes to prove I shouldn't post late at night :p I was thinking about fusebox D behind the cover of the glove compartment. But that is not the one your looking for.

The fuse you are looking for is in one of the fuseboxes below the steering wheel. Theres a cover there (Bottom left for a lefthand drive, bottom right for a righthand) Undo the 2 screws that hold it in place and take off the cover. On the bottom is a box of 5 wide, 3 high fuses. Above that is the box your looking for with 2 columns of 6 fuses high. Should still be the second one from the bottom on the righthand row.

See this pic, the upper fusebox is the one you are looking for

Hi aarron, its the lower, bigger fuse box.

The diagram in my manual seems to be upsidown compared to gregs picture and my car but it is Fuse F15 that controls the Heater Motor, Cigar Lighter(12v Socket), climate control relay.

Not according to the info on the BOO site. http://www.bravo-guide.co.uk/run-a-bravo.htm

The fuse you indicate should be for the heater fan only. But ofcourse it could be possible I'm just an idiot :p
BOO shows the fuse for the 'cigar lighter light' They also use a different grid numbering system. So i think we a re both right. ;)

I think its F15

Is this blown, or is the link at the top the "fuse bruidge"

If its not blown. Why else wouldnt my 12v cig lighter thingy work? Or is it a different fuse?

That fuse is perfectly fine :)

I had a non working cig lighter in the car. Problem was it was caked in dirt. 2 options: clean it or change it. Try removing it and giving it a good clean with a wire brush or sand paper first (y)

Edit: Dont try to extract the plug itself, take the whole thing out. Its held in with 4 hex screws
