Hi all new on here recently got a 1998 brava. The rear wiper motor was seized solid so got a replacement off ebay. The motor works ok for the actual wiping side of things its just wherever the arm is when you switch off the rear wiper is where it stops. Is there a relay? Or is it something else?
The new motor came with the wiring loom as the plug was a different size. All the wires in the plug match what I had on the original, but I wasnt able to test the original obviously so not sure if its always been like it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as its stumped me.

Yes sounds like the relay, there is a thread a few below this talking about the front wipers having the same problem, that thread might help.

Is there a 3-4 seconds delay after it stops, before it goes again, or not?

Is it like "go-stop-delay-go-stop-delay", or
is it constantly running, with no delay.

If constantly running, the most common reason is a little relay, inside the white box that is mounted on the motor .

There is no delay it goes left and right no pause.
I tried the whole white box off the old motor unit and that does exactly the same.

Thanks to my old friends "emzo" and "naskobg" I can surely say, that if you change the relay marked green, you will be ok, you'll have your rear wiper working. Costs < 1 Euro.

Hello, my rear wiper stops right there, when I stop it from the stalk unit, and does not go back to its start position....

Ok I have found the relay inside the box. I have searched the web
the only place I can get them from is hong kong if I buy between 1000-2000

I know they go wrong quite regular but thats ridiculous. Lol.

any motor factor will sell you a relay.Doesnt have to be a fiat one.
as long as they match up the numbers on the relay which they will ask you for
