just thinkin how long engines got mileage wise its on now 104587 before bad things start to go wrong any ideas

seen them go to 170k+

and they still working then, but other things on car make it not economically repairable.

really depends how it is driven and treated.

There are coupe 20v Turbo's with very high miles and the turbo puts loads more strain on the engine. Ive been trying to kill my bravo HGt for months now. I never thrash it from cold and always service it regularly. It sounds as sweet as it ever did, mines only done 71k but I believe the engine will do 160k miles without compression or wear issues

prevention is better than cure, so keep her tip top as you would a lower mileage car. Regular oil and filter changes every 6k, air filter every 12-18k
gear oil change every 2years
wishbones and sparkplugs every 30 - 40k as well as brake fluid change and coolant system flush. timing belt kit every 50k

I always keep an eye on brakes and have a look at tyres and suspension/steering components every time I do a 6k service.

like you said i never nail it when its cold and i allways check fluid levels but i keep spending money on it anyway cheers m8

Out of curiosity, what have you spent money on ?

starter motor gear box 2x clutches cambelt battery springs because one broke anti roll bars tyres fornt ones they wear alot brake hose hand brake cable snaped manifolds 2x down pipe forever and i do mean forever since ive owned it always blows not matter how many times i fix it thats about it
