Guys my oil level warning light comes on whenever the revs drop in the car. I would start it up and go for a drive, after a while if I stop at lights or in traffic the light comes on. Even if I drop gears while driving and the revs drop below 2000rpm the light will flicker. Any ideas, oil level is spot on. Car is a 2001 1.6 bravo.
Thanks

Dodgy pressure switch or low pump pressure.... when was the oil last changed?

if the oil is too thin (such as a 5w30) then it can do this. do you know which grade of oil has been used?

pressure swithc faults are not uncomon, and it is easily replaced, so i would try a scrapyard replacement if the correct oil has been used.

if replacing the pressure switch does not help then you have oil circulation problems. it can be caused by a blocked strainer on the pickup pipe in the sump. checking and cleaning means dropping the sump.
