Ok so going to be changing the glow plugs in my sisters JTD, all be it a Punto, as i have all the manuals for the Bravo/a and Marea i thought the data would be in them as to how to do it, as i've heard its tricky to gain access.

I've not had a chance to take the plastic cover off to have a look for myself, (job for tomorrow).

However i thought it would be covered in the FIAT manuals. Can someone point me in the right direction... cheers. (y)

Numbers 2 and 3 are down according to the tech. Didnt look today, as some bugger smashed the wing mirror last night when the veered onto my side of the road and clipped it. So been looking for one of them (no luck) and doing stuff to mine.

Change all of them....if 2 gone then its almost certain other 2 will go.Happened to me before after being tight I changed 2 then another went after about 3 starts.

They not hard to do but number one needs few bits moved but not as bad as it looks.

(use 1/4" drive with long extension & 7 or 8mm[cant remember which] deep socket to undo & magnet to lift out;))

Yea had planned to do all at once, just need to collect the parts from TMS, thankfully no problems starting etc since crank sensor been changed... need to fill in the garage rating post. £75 labour for doing spark plugs i got quoted though, and £14 a plug.... ouch. That money can go in the tool/beer fund, i always justify buying new tools if i save money... (y)

£14 plug about right (might get cheaper aftermarket ones I guess) but £75 for changing spark plugs:confused:...you mean glow plugs? Thats prob about hour & half labour so about right.

Oh you need long nose pliers to pull of connector on top of glow plug, sorry forgot bout that:eek:
