I fitted some sporting side skirts to my mk2b active sport in august, using self tappers along the bottom and tigerseal along the top, as I wasn't sure of the capabilities of tigerseal at the time, and was just wondering something. Along where the top of the skirt joins the sill is where I put the tigerseal, and it's held it on there well, though there are a few tiny gaps along that join, as it was impossible to hold the whole length ( (y) ) tight against the sill whilst the tigerseal was setting.
In the upcoming icy whether, a) could water get into this gap, freeze, and start pushing the skirts off from the sill, and b) will the tigerseal become brittle in cold conditions, and possibly crack??

I have self tappers along the bottom of the sill, as there were holes already drilled there for some reason, so I got some plastic clips that clipped in there (that cost me £15 from Fiat!!) and screwed into them, and they will take the weight of the skirts, just that they will fall away from the car if the tigerseal fails.

A mate of mine reckons that, nothing is gonna shift them, and they're on there for good. I am going to run some car body sealer along the join, to make it look slightly better, and prevent water from getting into the gaps.

So after all of that, anything to worry about? :D

Well I had windscreen bonder on my first set of skirts and they popped away from the car at high speeds.

Had them resealed with bonder and added to rivits and then they were stolen

Don't know if tigerseal is stronger then windscreen bonder but if it aint dont hit any bumps and dont go fast and allow the wind to force them off.
