You know I don't think that when Fiat say that it corrects itself after that mileage is reached is true, as my car is seven months old and has done 5000 miles. This problem started around three months ago. I do remember FIAT saying to me that the Blue & Me wouldn't work with an iPod. What rubbish it works fine it wll just not play any iTunes AAC files that's all. I would guess this is because Windows does not support that file format. The playing of the iPod diectly and being able to control it all from the steering wheel was the whole reason I bought the feature and also upgraded the Hi Fi. Plus of course the Bluetooth is handy too. But it's all pointless if it won't work properly.

Similarly to you when the feature trips out which is like all the time, I cannot control any Bluetooth or media from the steerig wheel. And the MP3 titles do not come up on the readout on the dash either. The dealer said that he had not seen any cars with this feature yet as no one had asked for it. Like what a help to me that is eh?

FIAT have opened up a case for me on this to track it, but I'm not hopeful. They don't seem to know what they are talking about. FIAT really need o sort their customer care out, I loved this car whe I had it but it's turning into a real hassle now.

I can't get my ipod to connect with blue&me. i have changed the files to MP3 files but it still says no source found when i plug it in.

My Blue & Me works excellently with my K800i and my MP3 player and also my I-Pod the I-Pod will only play MP3 though and not any I tunes songs I have converted a few of my Itunes to MP3 and awaiting trying it out.

Please also remmber iif its not working all the time how often do your windows PC's all crash?? it could be microsoft not Fiats fault a few IT buddys scoffed when reading windows would be controlling a bit of a car even just hi fi and telephone!!

Ref the N95. To import your contacts you need to go into the phonebook on your phone. Select all the numbers, send via bluetooth to your blue and me.

Okay so i finally got round the problem of playlists.......... went for a drive today, stopped the car, went into the shops, came out and then it kept saying "No media found" through the voice control, and since then it can even detect my ipod or anything, ive tried unplugging them, a different ipod and nothing.



is there a software update for the blue&me system?

Does anyone know of a technical support number i can ring?

Any suggestions at all? its not the ipods, they work fine, and have been working fine for a week now.

Reinstall the SMS Reader software from a pen drive. That usually cures the problem. If that doesn't help, detach the battery for a while and then reconnect it. Hope that helps.

Had the same problem as you and used to disconnect the negative battery terminal for a couple of minutes then the system used to re-boot fine and be ok for a few weeks.
There is a Blue&Me update - dealer did it a few days ago and it's working good now.

Using the "Update" option, has anyone successfully downloaded an update, or do you always get a GPRS error? Is this a job for the dealer?

Does installing the language pack (even though mine already speaks English) update all the software, or just the voice recognition?

Is there anyone successfully using a Samsung D900? It's not listed in the Fiat document, but there seem to be quite a few of the newer phones missing from that. Mine seems to drop the connection on a random basis after successfully pairing. Samsung don't allow you to update the phone's firmware, but I could get it done by them if it was the issue.

The 'Update' thing doesn't work yet......but soon we hope.
There's one new update from microsoft.....a patch I think, that needs to be done by the dealer.....takes 5 minutes

Try press and hold trip reset button for at least 10 seconds.
Should have been done by dealer at PDI stage.

If your mileage is flashing, it suggests the cluster isn't proxi-aligned with the rest of the system- something which only a dealer can do using the Examiner.
The "h" thing will go away after a few 100 miles, it's just something to denote a new cluster (and I believe the mileage then resets to 0).

I noticed several people have complained about the steering controls suddenly not responding and the cluster/radio units displaying "AUX" rather than "MEDIA PLAYER". Had a customer's car in today with this fault- though typically it wouldn't fault on me! After a quick check for errors I found the convergence (Blue&Me) ECU wasn't proxi-aligned, with CAN Bus faults in the Body Computer and Cluster to it , plus it wouldn't communicate with the Examiner.

Carried out proxi-alignment and all was good- carried out several start-ups, flicked through the sources and so on, and it seemed ok. We told the customer to try it and rebook if further problems occur.

Something to bear in mind?

I suspect that my D900 seems to drop the bluetooth connection when I try to use the voice recognition, but I need to do some more tests.

Doest this ring any bells with anyone?

Sorry to butt in, but is this a fault condition that resets the overall mileage to 0? As in, I could have bought a car that has been inadvertently "clocked"?

Or have I misunderstood?

dealers are allowed to set mileage back to zero after doing pdi checks.

Yes D900 I believe will not hold the bluetooth connection wifes phone keeps dropping connection too ended up getting a K800i

Thanks! I presume there is a limit to the amount of mileage they can wipe off? I have an 8 month old car which a dealer sold me with only 2000 miles on the clock (the tyres look brand new, though )

Sorry if this has already been covered, but I couldn't find it.

Does anyone know why (on my car at least) when you skip a MP3 track using the steering wheel prev and next buttons, or by speaking 'next', that the track played isn't the one in alphabetical order?

I checked that I haven't got shuffle or loop on.

When I scroll through the tracks on an album under the Media Player menu, they all appear in alphabetical order, but it seems to be purely random when I'm playing a track and then skip to the next one.

Is this something stupid I'm doing, or a 'feature'?
