i'm trying to connect the above to the car's Blu&Me system, I have paired it up with the 4 pin passkey & connected to the Internet, but it still won't connect the Ipad & Android apps.

Has anyone else tried this so they can see how their engine is preforming, engine codes etc

Hello,

Heu, what are you trying to do?

To pair en ELM327 ODB2 adapter with blue&me ?

Blue& me is designed to play music, command phone, used a mic/speakers for a phone, etc.
But it is not designed to be a diag tool, to communicate with serial over bluetooth with an ELM327 adapter

They can not communicate together.

Or I have misunderstood your question ?? ;)

Managed to get it to work this morning as did not have to connect to the car, put 1234 as the passkey into the app when asked & I get loads of readings.

I'm happy (y)

+1 would also be very interested to hear which app you are using to get data, and if you are going through the ELM or direct via BT to the car

Are you getting it to work with the iPad?. I have been having no problems at all with the ELM and Android, but no luck at all with iPad (Seems to be an apple restriction on Bluetooth)

To help you :

- Pairing an ELM with B&Me is not possible/make no sense
- Blutooth ELM works with Android apps / bluetooth laptop
- iDevices are restricted to access to bluwtooth ELM (as far I know).

Bluetooth is just a wireless transmission protocol, on it you have to use an application protocol (A2DP for music, headset transmission, etc) or serial emulation (to access ELM).
B&M and ELM are not designed with same application protocols.
