Hi There

Had my 500 for 2.5 years and not a problem, then just before christmas the media player started acting up.
I would select a playlist and it would say it was playing a specific track but was playing something completely different.
Then the controls froze and i couldnt select anything from the up and down buttons.
I then flashed the system with the latest blue and me drivers and everything was fine for a week, i now have to do this every week or 2 and to compound it, the playlist seems to ignore certain tracks that are in them.
Any ideas is it still under warranty or am i going to have to get a bank loan to replace it?????

Thanks

Brian

Have you tried another flash drive with songs on it? I have had this happen (with a 4gb flash drive and a 16gb one) and putting another flash drive with some music in and it solves the problem :)

i think thats your problem

also make sure all the file structure is the same

4bg sticks are a lot cheaper, just have a few of them in the car with different playlists or genres

I dont have any problems with my 16GB. I have folders of different artists, then folders of albums within them.
