Hi Guys and Gals,
Over the last few weeks I have been involved in many B & M diagnosistics, on Alfa and Fiat. A pattern has started to emerge, software updates are required for some but if you have a usb stick you use in your car just check a few things before you blame the B & M.
Some usb drives show up on a pc as two drives, and some have a password protection software built in. With these two usb sticks B & M seems to have many more problems, some cause complete shutdown and some just cause intermittent problems. So do me a favour, check your usb stick before blaming B & M, if it has a partition or software then try another. Also by using the menu button you can do a restore defaults procedure, and quite often if you have a media fault this will reset the system allowing it to work properly again. I have cured blue and me issues on three cars by checking the usb stick. One system failed after 15 minutes, it was proven to be the usb stick by substitution with my own, after 48 hours the customer was convinced.
