has anyone else had this problem with their barchetta? Basically whenever i get the car upto anything past 90km/h the car shakes like crazy, through the seats and the steering wheel.

I've changed or checked the usual things that would cause this with no joy: got new tyres fully balenced, had the tracking checked all ok, and have even tried putting the alloys on another car (punto) driving it at speed to see if they were warped but the car was solid, so it cant be anything to do with the wheels. Also the car has a tendency to wander a little and the steering becomes very heavy when near full lock on either side.

My Barchetta an earlyish model (P reg) and has got 143'000 Km on it, so im wondering if it could be wear and tear on something... maybe suspension related.... anyone got any ideas?

Could it be bad brake discs.

would that cause it? even if not braking?

What are the bushes like on the front wishbones and anti role bar? Steering rack could be on its way out ?

I've been at it today trying to find out what the problem is and the bushes look ok.... i think i might know what it is, there seems to be a bit of play in one of the rear wheels, it seems to be the only problem i can find that might be related.... i didnt think it would make the steering shake though

My rear drivers side swing arm pivot bush went last year, it made the car feel a bit uneasy round corners but that was it, the bush was really shot when it was changed.
