I'm tempted t take your bet as he didn't say what colour it was, so we could be talking brake fluid, PAS fluid or if engine oil it could be the oil filter wasn't on properly.

Still, you're probably right....

Well, I called in at Mervyn Stewarts and got a new plug and washer for it anyway...

£8 feckin quid for a bolt!

Mmm.... Drivers side window still wont fit into the seals round the screen due to the broken plastic on the inside of the door mechinism and the passengers side has given up the ghost. Ordered a new switch at 8 quid to see if it's that cause if its not then (barring a fuse which I really should of checked by now, lol) it's a £160 for a new motor.

And it's doing odd stuff when you drive it too but I'll put that down to having a tank of petol in it thats been sitting in the car since october. They'll be shell optimax in it in the morning to see if that will fix it.

motor might be the same but you need other stuff as i recall that comes with the barchetta motor to hold the frameless windows.

(hence the problem with the drivers door where theres a tiny bit of plastic snapped off that means I'll have to buy the whole bloody lot to stop the pane flapping about)

Cost 99 Euro + postage

 optimax not here no more, replace with higher octane v-power
£1.20 per litre though, that a motorway or village price?
was only 1.10 when i last filled up, i get more mpg from it so works out same are normal petrol but i have cleaner engine

The local shell is only super unleaded and its £1.13 with normal unleaded at £1.07:bang:

Mark

Opti/V-Power, the 98 ron stuff!! Yup, over £1.20 in a garage off the A329M near Bracknell, the petrol price in my area varies wildly, Tesco were selling 95 ron at £1.03 last week, went to fill up last night and they were at £1.08!!

I run 2 cars 'cos I have to (crap public transport locally), it's amazing how much the increase in tax/MOT/Insurance/petrol has effected the household outgoings over the past year...........trouble is its not just the petrol, the cost of the weekly shopping has also risen as the supermarket's are using the increased cost of fuel as an excuse to hike their prices............ when will it end??? pretty soon we will be better off giving up work and just letting the govt keep us!

Yeah, but with the Euro being so high at the minute there's not much saving in driving over a hundered miles to save a couple of coppers a litre.. Especally in a car that only does 26mpg....:(

Still not actually filled up yet BTW! Must do so on the way back from work as she's a little sick feeling when driving:eek:
