Hi
Has anyone out there got tips on how to take off the bonnet badge mk1
I can feel the nut from in between the nose cone and bumper but can not get a spanner or ratchet in.
TIA Harry:confused:

Try from either under the bottom of the bumper up or remove the plastic Air duct cowling infront of the radiator. My bumper was off when it was removed so was easy.... b15.JPG

Hi, i managed to get the badge off using a 8mm spanner angled through the gap between the bonnet and the bumper. there are a couple of metal brackets in the way which make it really awkward so you have to angle the spanner

it took ages as you can only make a small turn each time but rewarding at the end (probably could have got the bumper off just as quick!)

 How did you figure out that it was stuck on - careful with the b, if you pull bit's too hard they will come off in your hands!!

Oh, and I am gradually replacing my rusty nuts - each time they come off in my hands I get some nice new ones, smother them in copper grease and put them back on again!

hear ze children of ze night , zey are making vondervull musik.... mwhahahahahahaaa

Of course, you could always wait for neds to come along and rip it off for you.....I'm now in the market for a new front badge

If you want to buy new round badges for the B then ebay has a good source but avoid the titty-head who goes under the nick 'Your Badges' prime clown with badges made out of cardboard and cheap varnish. He's into abuse / big time negative feedback as well if you complain.

think I'll just bag an original from barchettaparts.com

Quite fancy the chrome with colour of the car as well but it's hard to tell if I'll like it until it's on.
