General Fancy getting together at the...........

I've mentioned it to other half and he wants to go see SS Great Britain too if we are in Bristol. Anyone been?

I'm not decided on whether to register or not yet ... is that Shell Garage mentioned as a meeting place ok for coming from the North?

Is there a deadline or maximum number for registering?

Hi Richkeoghuk and welcome to the forum - where have you been!!!

Looks like you are local to Doc OP if you are in Bedford, at this point its customary for you to give us a little lowdown on your b, colour, age, mods etc and a piccie always goes down well!!

What time are you planning on getting to Bristol, I am at jct 9 of the M4 so could tie up on the way there if you are passing..............

Hi,

I'm afraid the b doesn't get quite as much use as I'd like. Weekends only as I'm a fiat white van man weekdays!

Mine's a black b with a red roof (although the roof's rarely up). She's in the garage at present having some paintwork done as she was visciously attacked by a gritter lorry:cry:.

Hopefully though she'll be looking good in time for the Bristol run.

Rich

Hi and welcome Richkeoghuk (y)
I see you are in Bedford like me :) I am in Biggleswade just down the road. (y)

You dont drive a blue B do you and go North on the A1 in the mornings?

Neither does Doc's, only out when its not raining!!! How many miles last year Doc???? ;)

Well I went to the Barchetta meeting up North so that racked up 1000 in a long weekend but since then only another 400 or so. :D:p

It is ready to drive all the time but I need two or three dry days before she comes out.

Lets hope for a good summer - just watched 5th gear and my son recognised the Ace Cafe, he can't wait for the school holidays this summer so that he can come along!!!!

Virginia Waters again this year? What about a run from there through Hants into Sussex to finish at Goodwood circuit one Saturday early summer for a cuppa tea??

My b is a metallic black 1999 Riviera.

No mods apart from a red mohair roof and replacement exhaust both from DTR sports.

Here's a pic! if I've figured out how to attach it that is!

I'm actually travelling down to Bristol on Friday and staying in a B&B in Clifton.

Rich

Talking of B events.

There's an italian day being held up at Stone Staffs in May - might be a good meet up point

here's the blurb:

We would like to invite you and your club to our Italian Day in Stone.

We cannot promise to bring out Mediterranean sunshine, but for the
first time residents and visitors to Stone will be able to experience
the sights, sounds and aromas of Italy

Stone's Italian day will feature an Italian Market, Italian Cars,
Italian Music, Italian cooking demonstrations and visitors from their
Italian Twin Town Bagnacavallo. The colourful stalls will be
overflowing with fresh produce including breads and pastries, coffee,
ice cream, cheeses, olives, fresh pasta, cold meats, dry fruits,
spices and nuts. There will even be jewels made of lava stone and
natural hand-made soaps

Motor enthusiasts from across the region and beyond are in for a
special treat, confirmed so far are ferraris, lamborghinis,
maseratis, fiats, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Ducati, Motoguzzi.

The free, one-day Italian spectacular - located in the market town of
Stone - looks set to attract the crowds.

If you wish to sample fine Italian products then visit Stone on
Sunday May 18th

Entry is free

Hi Richard, welcome to the forum. I remember seeing your name on the Yahoo board.

Weren't you behind the barchetta owners club? Does it still exist?

As you can see, things are pretty lively over here (thanks mainly to LRB!) and there are some very knowledgeable people. I've tried a couple of times to drag people from the Yahoo board over here but there seems to be a bit of resistance!

This one sounds good and not too far from me. Thats 3 I've got lined up now as I'm just about to book the day off to make it a long weekend for the Bristol event.
