Technical Alarm wiring

I'm installing new alarms to b and i was just thinkig that could someone tell me some cable colors from fusebox/keyholder so I dont have to test every cable with digital multi-meter..

I would like to know colors for :
- 12v accessory ( This wire will read OV with the key off, and 12V with the key in the accessory or 'ON' position )
- Starter wire ( This wire will read 12V when the key is in the crank position. This wire supplies power to the starter motor )
- 12v Ignition ( This wire will read OV with the key off, and 12V with the key in the 'ON or RUN' position. )
- Signal lights
- Parking lights

I would be more than happy if I don't have try to find these cables by myself

Hi, I read your post but have been a little busy (cleaning the car!!), I will dig out my workshop manual tomorrow and take a look..............

If you send me your address in a PM I'll send you the manual on two CD-Roms. The manual contains all the wiring diagrams you need (and a load more stuff you'll probably need in future). Might not be for a day or two though, been a bit busy recently.

OK - I have just had a quick look through my FIAT manuals and I am really struggling to match wires to colours to circuits! - sorry, I have spent ages looking at this and am really struggling to make head/tail of the diagrams.

As you are only interested in a couple of wires I would suggest you take the steering surround off and look at the barrel, aside from the fuel pump wire you should be able to get everything you need from there.

I will take another look tomorrow as I am a bit pushed for time tonight......

I can't double check from the manual at the moment but if I remember rightly from looking at that lambda sensor last week there's a lot of checking and cross-checking from a couple of different diagrams. It's a bit of a pain in the arse to do but possible.

I only have the manual in electronic form (PDFs) and it's broken down into sections with one section being just for diagrams. At the front of there, there's some kind of table that shows you the one or two letter acronym for each different colour of wire you get. You have to refer to this when you're looking at the diagram you want. It's either there, or it's in the section that points out all the different connectors there are.

Installing alarms took me couple days away from forum, but now its allmost over Only have to calibrate that 2-stage radar and its finished..

But there are these cable colors what I promissed.

12v = Brown from keyholder
Starter wire = red/black from keyholder
Signal lights = blue & blue/black from fusebox

These where the most importants..
And b needs orange & orange/white to run properly..

Damn I like that remotestart function, its nice to set b to start ~10mins before I leave to work, smooth and warm..

esspecially.... if you park it in gear to avoid the handbrake freezing up.... :devil:

Hehe , that would be nice
But it really cant do that, have to leav b in reservation mode if you want to use remotestart, it will shut off after 2min's or when you leave the car..

With automatic gearbox it would be much easier
