Does anyone know the dimensions of the space under the seats? Want to order an amp to go under the passenger seat but want to make sure I get one that fits. If no-one knows then I'll get the toolbox out this weekend, get a seat up and measure it and post on here. (y)

Its not a good place to fit an amp in the Barchetta. The space is really small and if your B lets in any water then the amp is going to get it. You have two choices, one the amp can be mounted on the panel behind the seat, the other is fitting the amp in the boot. Mine are in the boot but this is a bit more work. Fitting the amp to the back panel is not as hard as you think becasue you can remove the panel and run all the cables behind it and down the sides of the car. SS has his amp in this place so take a look at his thread for pics and info.

You can find a load of pics in my thread about fitting the amp in the boot.

Hope this helps (y)

Case in point, forgot to check that the window seals were tight against the windows when I parked the car up after the meet at the ACE last night, it rained a little overnight and I opened the car to a small puddle of water under the passenger seat!

Ah the joy's of having an Italian soft-top in the South of England.............

Good point, I was hoping for a solution that would be a bit less permanent than screwing all the bits on the panel behind the seats, but I didn't think about rain getting in and ballsing everything up. My roof does leak a little on the passenger side aswell - if I put the roof up without then opening and closing the windows (for them to securely nestle inside the rubber fitting) then I tend to find a few damp spots on the passenger seat when I next get in the car. Maybe I'll bite the bullet, get the wiring done this weekend and in place for when I change the head unit for one with preamps - short-sightedness meant I got a head unit with only speaker level output :bang:

I'll have another gander at your setup on your thread SS and take it from there.

I'll get it all sorted one day hehe (y)
