Re: 500c Conversion???

ROFL. What a plonker (not you, him). No one's going to do that to their nearly new 500. I guess the actual sunroof and mechanism are worth something, but not whilst the car's under warranty.

Yet another reason why it's useless. Could be useful if you wanted the illusion of having a 500c that had sunk perhaps.

Re: 500c Conversion???

surely if you already own a C, the a spare roof could be useful?

I can't see that he is advertising it as a 500c conversion kit, so why is he a plonker?

The roof itself and the motor yes, but the pillars no.

Re: 500c Conversion???

Looks like it may originally have been a Raggamuffin orange 500c...

that's obvious, but surely if you were to buy the roof you'd want to see it was in good nick, not just a roll of canvas in the corner of a workshop?

Re: 500c Conversion???

How would someone actually come about getting a car roof?

Re: 500c Conversion???

Advertised by a salvage company, so probs an insurance write-off from front end damage or similar.

Or someone is making a real 500 convertible, not the glorified canvas sunroof model Fiat will sell you

Wonder if they have the rear suspension.

Must....resist.....emailing......them........

I have an MR2 in middle of being race prepped. What I don't need is another car in bits on my drive. I'm also using up all my willpower to avoid spunking 15k on an Elise I don't need but very very very much want.

Damn you Internet! Putting temptation in my way!
