May be of interest to Cinq/Sei owners thinking of doing a swap?

Currently at 30 quid, but ends a week on Wednesday.

Will this fit in a sei engine bay?

I believe it's the same engine used here, not sure if the standard Sei gearbox would fit the 1.4 though.

it does fit, i have a 1.4 16v cinquecento and still use the box the car came with

i nearly bought this engine a while back, he said to me it had head gasket failure,

Perhaps a different one as he says it came out of the Punto a week ago? Sorry if it is the same one, thought he doesn't mention the hg failure on the listing.

could be, the one i contacted him about was from a 2004 punto mk2b

i was concerned at why the HG was gone at so low milage?

cos it crashed and decked the rad

so what is the verdict on the engine then is it f**ked or will it run or will it run for a little while then die.

no idea, no-one is saying it is def the same engine. as with any secondhand engine, pull the head if you get it as a precaution
