Lost for words. Stu was always such a friendly face, I didn't go to many FF events but I think he was at all of them. Rest in peace, my thoughts are with your family.

RIP my friend - and as people have said, he put in so much effort into the forum, especially the events, many of them simply wouldn't have been able to go ahead without his help.

If anyone has any special memories of him, it would be nice if you could also post them up to this thread. We could then look at getting it printed out and displayed at the funeral.

Miss you buddy.
That was indeed the last time I saw him. Makes me even more glad I made the trip.

Gutted to hear hes passed away. I saw a couple of posts on fb when he said he quite poorly at the end of last year, but didnt realise how ill he really was.

My overall memory of Stu is perfectly illustrated at the top of the first page. I think that shot was my firsy, possibly second, trip to Stanford. Venters and I had helped out with the bbq for a bit, as I recall, but hadnt bothered to sort out any sun tan lotion for ourselves. Queue some literaly red faces in stus local. I think we may have just won/come runner up in the quiz when this shot was taken.

It was a pleasure to have known stu, rip fella and thoughts obviously with his family at this difficult time.

I think it says a huge amount about the impact of Stu on all our lives by the number of older members who no longer post as much, all logging back on to pay their respects.

Sleep well friend

Can't even begin to remember when the last time I posted on this forum. Like many, I've found myself returning to pay respects to such a nice fella.

My thoughts are not only with his family and children, but also with you all, as I know he was such a valuable member of the group. Sleep well, Stu. Till we meet again friend.

I've not been here for a while now, but when I heard this awful news it seemed only right to post this on the forum. Stu put his heart and soul into this place, and it's all the better for his involvement. He was regularly putting in the extra effort to make things run smoothly, and his professional aptitude for bringing order from chaos was invaluable.

RIP Stu. Thanks for your friendship, you will be missed.

I too haven't been on here for some time. Extremely sad news - Stu was a genuinely nice guy. I remember meeting him for the first time at a rolling road day at Red Dot in 2008, it was the first event I went to and he was a friendly face who made an impact straight away. I think he might have even bought me lunch! My thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time.

Re: RIP Stu DemonD

I too, am a little stunned by this, having heard from Stu just prior to him being hospitalised as apart from being a friend for many years, of late he had also been doing my company's books. Many knew he was ill, but I don't think even he knew just how bad it was / had become.

His last few months appeared actually quite hard work and certainly by any account very painful.

He was certainly one of the most enthusiastic, skilled and welcoming guys I've had the pleasure of knowing and dealing with. An asset to everyone and everything involved. RIP Stu.
