Friend's breather pipe needs replacing (part 10 in the diagram, FIAT #: 71769083).

There is one of those Fiat clips that you essentially have to break to get off on it (despite not actually being in the diagram for some reason).

Does anyone know what diameter hose clip I'll need to replace it? I'll get one of those ones that have a screw in it that can be tightened for easier removal.

EDIT: Should add that it is the 1.2 8v engine in a 2009 Pop.

Thanks guys.

The pipe is 20mm( got a spare in the shed) so a clip up to 25mm would sound about right?

Check the thin breather too it often fails and be especially careful it doesn't snap off the air box? when removing the air box

Thanks, mate. The one on the rear has actually failed too and is also getting swapped. I'm just doing both to be sure.

The one at the back is just a push-to-fit it seems though? Is that correct?

Yes it's a push fit the small one if need be cut along the pie to remove from the air box and grease the new one so it can easily push on and off if required If it does snap off it can be fixed.
What age is your car? Check the engine earth and look underneath the metal water pipe under the exhaust manifold?

Hi we also have a 09 depending on what's been done over the years there are some common items to look at that fail
Thermostat housing
Most of the front suspension
Engine earth strap
Sump pan
Breather hoses
Rear boot lid wiring
Metal water pipe, rusts through
Rusting of the rear drums
Rear shock absorbers

A good upgrade is Iridium spark plugs, 5 year change interval
Philips extreme head light bulbs.

When was the cam belt replaced?
Boot light is easy to install the wire is already there
New badges ate a nice touch and not expensive as is a new remote key fob cover, here is two pics one of our fob and the petrol cap?
