Hello.

Maybe a silly question,

Does the 500 lounge from 2018 not have rear speakers? I got a car yeasterday and thought there was no sound in the back, checked babalnce and not an option for balance in the back.

I found a thread relating to 2019 Fiat 500 and it seems rear speakers are an option... just wanted to verify if this was also the same for a 2018 lounge.

If so, next silly question, does the wiring exist and you just need to get a shop to fit speakers?

Many thanks,

Paul -

Only way to know is to pull back one of the rear panels but you will have to undo the seatbelt bolt and remove the pillar cover bit of a pain but I guess if you want to know!! Can’t believe there’s no rear speakers[emoji45] my 09 pop is a basic entry car and that even has em[emoji23]

A quick look on the Fiat 500 configurator shows Pop no rear speakers(but has steering wheel controls) Lounge has rear speakers.

Note a cigarette lighter is £55 and it would seem they've removed electric mirrors as standard to add them is now(including heating) £125 on the Pop, though cruise control is a reasonable £150.

Thanks (everyone) for the updates. I see also on the configurator that rear sepakers are standard on the Lounge. However my car is a 2018 lounge and that was with the 5" display etc. so I wonder if the 2018 version rear speakers were an option? That does seem a bit cheap / odd.

I bought a lounge from new in 2009 and that had rear speakers so when buying the 2018 lounge it did not cross my mind to ask. It was only when driving around; my daughter in the back said there was no sound in the back. When you check the balance the head unit doesn't give the option to adhust the rear - only the front so that suggested there were no speakers in the rear.... now I am confused. Someohow I need to find the 2018 spec for the lounge - so far I can only find US based specs and they seem different from the UK ones

Sales guy had no clue but said he thought the louge didn't come with rear speakes anymore. Clearly from the fiat website (in 2019 anyway) they do!

Maybe I should start a thread to ask if anyone has a 2018 lounge and can they confirm if they have rear speakers and if they had to spec them in the config / sale.

Many thanks,

Paul .

Well, after a lot of searching I found a price list / spec for January 2018.

To get rear speakers you had to have the sport model or choose Beats Audio, or the 7 inch head unit or the sat nav / 7 inch unit. Even then its only standard on the Sport so you had to pay another £25 for the speakers....

Fast forward to 2019 and its standard on the lounge. Meh.

Can't post image of the Jan 2018 spec yet due to new to the forum.

Many thanks,

Hey Paul

I have the same problem. Just bought a 2018 lounge which has visual speakers in the rear, but they don’t work? Trying to figure out what’s what! Did you manage get to the bottom of this issue?

Thanks
Paul

Speaker grilles or actual speakers I think I saw rear speaker became a cost option at purchase I'd guess it doesn't have any?

Maybe another example of paying for something and not getting it, like my 90HP engine? If the configurator said it was fitted, try maling a lot of fuss and maybe they will sort it out at fiat? My 2019 Panda has no rear speakers. Gettting parts would be too costly to justify. I may just buy speakers with grills and wire it myself one day.
