Hey Everyone!

Long time lurker on these forums, however now we come to you in our hour of need.

We drive a 2009 (59) UK Fiat 500 1.2 POP

My Blue and Me system has always worked perfectly. I've always been able to make and receive calls.

Last week, suddenly, out of the blue (no pun intended) - My Blue&Me system now cuts out about 5/10 minutes or so into phone calls and does a REALLY loud Buzz (REALLY loud)

Im miffed as to what could be causing this? I've never had any issues in the past/I have changed or updated my phone.

Any help you may be able to offer would be amazing!

Thank you all,

Tom & Emma

I've got the same issue although it's very intermittent. I can have lengthy calls with no problems and some calls the buzzing noise starts straight away.

If you've got the volume on fairly high, the buzzing noise scares me which I find really dangerous. It also seems to crash Blue&Me as disconnecting the call on your phone doesn't stop the noise.

Seem to start since I updated my iPhone to iOS 11. I tried to restore my phone to before the update but no joy.

I will try and disconnect the battery.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

In your case, almost certainly nothing as the problem is most likely a compatibility issue caused by the recent update of your iPhone software.

This has been posted about before; there are known compatibility issues between older versions of Blue&Me and the latest iOS updates. Unfortunately it's not possible to apply the latest Blue&Me updates to older cars and the latest iOS updates can break the link between phone and car.

Android phones seem to be more tolerant in this regard.

There's another recent thread on this subject, here. It describes the problem but, as yet, there is no known solution.
