Completely off-topic, but I have to heap praise on FF here...

It's been a long time since I had my little 500 and then Punto (now have Twingo GT) but I keep coming back to FF for information, banter and general helpfulness of people. I even contribute from time to time:D

Now I have a Renault, I have joined the Renault forum -and my, is it slow and full of adds and horrible!!! I dread the day I have to visit if something goes wrong on my car...

Here, no such problems: the pages load quickly, adds are not intrusive, people are informative...

So this post is just to let you guys know that you are the best!!!:slayer:

The trick is to buy a Renault that's also sold as a Fiat.

Now when are we getting a Talento Forum?

Agree with you 100% Melanabb, I was meanwhile surprised to find that the forums for more expensive cars are unfortunately populated by inferior users lacking in common sense and decency...! :)

I don't get here as much as I used to, simply because there's never anything to report or look for with our 500. It still seems to think that it's a new car, even though it's nine years old. In the last three years and 50,000km, I don't know how the tailgate wiring and the door handle, etc. etc. have never been an issue for us, but I did have the cracked thermostat pipe problem and a bolt that fell out of the sunroof, which I carefully photographed and reported on here, and I'll certainly be back from time to time.

In agreement here too - other make forums are nothing like as useful or friendly. I also look at the 500X forum as I now have one of those, and it has the same standard, albeit with less traffic and info as they are a far less common car.

I am also a merc190e owner, the forum i use is pretty good but some of the members rattle on about their other cars, usually expensive dream cars for most of us.
I don't get that on here, which is good, hope i didn't rattle on about having a merc, it's only an old thing.
Prefer driving the 500 anyway.

The Suzuki forum I joined was worthy but very dull. And then it disappeared. I discovered, circuitously, that it stopped supporting iPads, and probably Apple in general. Quite hopeless. And stupid, because the car itself supports CarPlay very well.

Other forums are even more dreary, and those for expensive cars are often populated by really quite ignorant and certainly illiterate people. I know why, but I won't expand here. This forum is intelligent and clever, and also very easy to navigate. It's the best car forum I have seen. I contribute occasionally because I have owned three Fiat's over the years, and my current car uses a slightly modified fiat automatic gearbox ?
