Hi there, I have been a lurker on this forum for quite a while, I thought it was about time I posted. I apologise if this is the wrong place to post, if so, please remove.

So I guess this is going to sound rather strange; but have any of you ever had any success stories in finding cars that got away? In September, I had finally traced this particular car after searching for it for a few years, silly, but this car has sentimental value to me. (It’s only a car… I know.) So, I thought that I had finally struck lucky, the car having re-appeared again after being untaxed for over a year and a half, with extremely low mileage for a 57 plate. Of course, she looked a little different from how I remembered, but of course nothing too drastic, a few decals here and there. Back in 2008 after starring in a spring edition of Auto Italia, I fell in love. After studying the pictures and info listed on the dealer’s website and their auto trader page, I speedily attempted to get into contact with the garage, (after a few technical glitches with their website ) I was told that the car had literally only just been sold. Typical! To be perfectly honest, I was pretty gutted. Travelling from Devon to Clacton to collect the car wasn’t exactly a short journey. I am actively searching for the car again, and hopefully the dream of owning my perfect 500 will come true one day. Fingers crossed! The search goes on...
