Hi I am new here Hello everyone! I have a 2102 500 lounge with 46,000 miles automatic, I have not seen any indicator light go on about my brakes needing repair. Is this normal for a fiat? I would have expected a warning at 20 or 30,000.

I have another question. I have a sunroof and the paint is peeling on the section of the roof between the sunroof and the windshield. I suspect this is a manufacturer defect has anyone had this problem and how did you go about getting it repaired?
Thanks
Mike

If you drive carefully, they can easily last 50,000 miles or more. But be aware the brake wear indicator is fitted to one pad only; one of the other three could easily wear down to the metal before the one fitted with the wire triggers the warning light. The only way to know for sure if your pads need replacing is to pull both wheels off and inspect all four pads, which is why this is part of the service inspection.

On a car of that age, I'd just go find an independent paint shop & pay the bill. Trying to get this sorted under warranty is likely to both be unsuccessful and more trouble than it's worth.

Thank you both very much for responding to my questions. I think I will have the pads replaced but I am going to pursue the paint problem with the dealership. I will report here what transpires.
Thanks
Mike
