Hi everyone, was wondering if anyone can shed some light on my stereo in my 500 sport, my subwoofer works but the speakers don't i am wondering if it has a 30w amp??? if so where is it on the car? does it have a fuse?? i have replaced the stereo thinking it had blown a circuit, i have only had the car a matter of weeks any ideas would be great, thanks in advance.

Can't help but have some questions
Was it all working when you got the car?
Did it just not work one day or fail at high volume?
Is the sub factory fit? Or aftermarket?
Can anyone say if the head unit is pre out only or built in amp?
Usually a separate amp powers all speakers so if the sub works it tends to indicate it's ok but may have lost its audio feed signal though often the sub signal is taken front the "normal" line in, only high end units have 6 pre outs .

Hi when i bought the car it worked once every 8 or nine times so it makes me think its not a fuse, the sub is a factory fit so is the rest of the car, the sub works every time but the 6 speakers don't, i think it has a interscope system where the car has 2 amps 1 built in the sub and the other 1 is somewhere, apart from taking to a garage i seem to be at a end :confused:

Ar I see it could be a poor conection the amp requires a turn on signal if missing it would not switch on so no sound most often they're placed somewhere "open" to get rid of the heat under seats dash and boot , under dash or seats would be my first guess.

Have looked under passenger seat will check boot next both sides, will also check fuses (you never know your luck) cannot see anything under dash is the interscope stereo system rare???

I seem to recall the amp is behind the rear interior trim panel on the drivers side where the rear speaker is. I could well be wrong so double check before you start ripping it out!

Right i have had the back out there is a mass of wires going up the back pillars i think its in there but before i pull the car to bits completely i will check all fuses thanks for your help (y)

have found amp but no fuse on amp so i think it must only have fuse on fuse board??

Check you have power and a proper earth also check there is a remote switching feed assuming it is set up that way usually it will have 20ish wires going to it 3 power plus 8 in, 8 out.
The amp won't have a fuse(on it) as being behind a panel it would not be accessible
