I just got my new fiat 500 lounge a few days ago and I am wondering if anyone can help me...The car already has the blue and me installed. My phone is connected to the car, when I attach my phone with my USB to the car I cant get any music to play. I want to be able to play spotify ?

Hey its a sony xperia z2 and the car is new 2015 (65 plate)

I think the car is only able to play the music that is on your phone-not streaming services like Spotify.
I am not sure tbh

I tried it with an iphone too with regular music and it never worked such a pain

Does the new car not support A2DP?

Yeah it does because I have already connected my bluetooh to the car e.g. people can call my phone and it the call comes straight thru the car via bluetooth. I just want to know how to get spotify working?

If it is like the Blue & Me on my car it supports calls but not A2DP which is needed for music. Calls are mono

As mentioned, Blue & Me doesn't support A2DP.
The only way to play music using a phone is through a USB cable.

I have the iPhone and it works either with the music app or third party music app like Tunein Radio or Google Play Music.

There is no option to stream music using Bluetooth.

Why not use the Aux input?

I am trying this way but now I think it is to do with it not supporting my android phone.

Aux is just a 3.5mm jack? Can't see how it can be incompatible?

I can play Spotify in our 2015 500 from my iPhone when connected via USB. When listening to the radio and I plug in the iPhone the radio automatically switches the source to Blue&Me Media Player. The I just open Spotify on the phone and select what to play. The steering wheel controls work for skipping/changing tracks.

Yes you can, press the voice command ask for media player it will then say blue and me media player play the song from Spotify if no sound turn off the radio and back on and then it should play the song through the car
