Got to work today to find headlight washer on drivers side won't retract. It will push back in but same happens when it's used again.

40 miles to my local dealer and just had recall for under-dash wiring done on Saturday so that's a pain to go back again.

They are Bi-xenon's anyone else had this problem?

They deploy on water pressure, (there is no motor or anything complicated about it) it could be a combination of cold and water causing freezing, maybe worth experimenting with a hair dryer to gently warm it when stuck and see if it retracts, or else a spray of something like WD40 to drive the water out and add a lite lubricant to help it slide in and out nicely, the location also means they are exposed to all sorts of dirt and grit which can also jam up the mechanism

Touch wood mine have been fine even in this freezing weather but what AndyRKett makes sense but at the same time i hope its not correct ,as every winter popping out washers would not be fun ,let us know what the outcome is thank you.

New part fitted under warranty so all good.
