I was just sick a little in my mouth. I'm hoping that isn't the final form as it's straying quite far from the retro/deco styling that we currently enjoy.

You can see it is a natural progression from the 500L/X etc though.

There isn't that much difference to the V.Adam and the DS3 internally judging from those pics if it stays like that.

These pics have been around for ages, they are just an infamous Auto Express PhotoShop hack, they are in no way official and as previous efforts have shown, will be way off the mark!

Don't be silly! The 500c came out just as they said it would!

Fiats deal with Gm for the grande punto model ends in 2016 so they will have to replace the punto in that year, they apparently updated the punto in 2012 (well gave it some new bumpers) Fiat 500L in 2013, new panda In 2013/14 and the 500x is out this year, new punto next year, so,can't see them replacing the 500 now till 2017 ???

I agree with Dbunx, the car appears to have just morphed into the generic 500 range, the rather lumpy cash ins that Fiat has launched to extend the range "a la Mini".

While that may (or may not) work with these clumsy copies, it certainly doesn't with the 500, whose raison d'etre lies in its almost uncanny resemblance to the original 500 alongside true Italian flair with the interior. Both of which are clearly absent in the AutoExpress clips.

On a similar note, when Fiat decided to extend the success of the 500 by launching a larger model, I expected them to do another clever retro, this time on the old 600. That would have retained the purity of the 500 while extending the retro theme to another level.

Others with more Fiat knowledge will perhaps know at least 50 good reasons why the above would have been a lousy idea, but I'm happy in my own little world. Leave me be.....

Snes, the interior is the 500 Lardy interior that's been rejigged on photoshop. It's just made up.

I suspect you're right, Maxi, you have a good knowledge of these things.

Does the 500 lardy really look that bad inside?

Let' see a redo of the original Multipla :D

That's the one I was thinking of!! Is that called a 600, or have I got the name wrong?

What a lovely car - just imagine if that could be updated to comply with safety standards!

Thanks, guys, lovely pics.

Let's not start that again!

Just occurred to me that the Smart has a similar unprotected front end - but the Tridion cage overcame that, so not an impossibility.

It still surprises me that Fiat didn't explore this potential retro area, same with Renault, I'm sure the R4 would translate well as a retro style exercise.

Oh well - dream on.....
