Our 500 seems to have an issue that's a little strange.
58plate 1.2sport

We went away for a months holiday and when we returned my wife reported
odd behaviour from both the seatbelt warning light and the airbag warning light.

They both come on dimly from the moment you unlock the car with the zapper.
If you wait for the interior light to go out before putting keys in and starting up
then they go out again.
Put in the key and switch on and they light up again. Even after the engine has done it's checks and is ticking over they remain on.
If I switch on the right hand indicator the seatbelt light flashes in time with the indicator.
I have made a video but I can't see it on photobucket yet as they take a while to show. I'll post a link to that as soon as I have one.
Any ideas? I'd rather not take it to Fiat if I can help it.

The check light warning is because I have LEDs in the numberplate lights.
I have been running them since we bought the car so it' s not likely to be them.

Just needing a charge Maxi? I replaced the original battery with a brand new Bosch one last year after a total failure of the factory fitted unit. The new one is still under warranty if it's kaput already, it was bought from ECP.

That's the second similar issue in a week. Have a look at

Maybe you can compare notes with pasotibbs.

On your videa the engine check light also flashes dimly when the right indicator flashes. Sounds more like a circuit board glitch for mine; either a short or a cracked track, perhaps preventing something from earthing. Flexible plastic 'membrane' type printed circuits can be prone to to such faults but I don't know if the Fiat uses them.
