I agree with Robin, that is the car equivalent to a tribal tattoo. I've probably just offended a lot of people lol

I know mine is, but his is volare blue with wheels that are only ok :p But the sticker would just look wrong still!

Studly - your car looks really lovely.

I don't think you can improve it with that colour. The only way is down.

But you were right to ask. Did you notice what a shy bashful bunch we are?

If you are looking to 'pimp your ride' you could consider the following:

Fiat 500 rear spoiler - genuine article - would be dubious about an Abarth one since it would need the 'Abarth pack' as on the Black & the Red.
Properly done red calipers on the front leaving the rear as 'standard' with red ringed 500 centre caps (I have a set ;)).
Tasteful 500 'caps' on the head restraints and 'covers' on the seat belts to match.
Unsure about the italian stripes down the middle (off centre) on the car with the 500 logo (realise you have the glass roof). These can be got 'cheap' and taken off when you get sick of them.

You should turn it into a by diesel special edition, I am sure someone on here has all the parts to do that sitting in his garage that you can have for a couple of quid.

I am joking by the way.

I am not a fan of the big fiat on the side of the car but if you are then do it. Why worry what other people think?
If you get bored of it or bored of everyone laughing at you you could just peel it off. It shouldn't cost more that a few £ to get it done.

I agree with RUI, if you like it, you do it and ignore everyone else.

I covered my car in flowers, not everyone's cup of tea, but I like it and have added bees and ladybirds since the original photos.

If you get fed up with it, you can peel it off, no harm done!

I'm going against the grain here, I think that could work but only if its much smaller and combined with a sort of ye olde style hot rod pin striping. Now that would be cool. :D

Why would you use the FIAT script logo from over a hundred years ago? It's from an age when motoring was the foolish pursuit of a few wealthy toffs. It doesn't reflect either the austerity of the post-war 500, or the technology of your modern 500. Just seems completely incongruous to me, sorry :)

I initally though that the OP was a 'young fella' and then realised from his 'handle' of studly74 that maybe he wasn't so young after all. ;)
Wanting to use the Fiat logo in a very prominent position is a compliment to Fiat. It beats some wanting to change the Fiat symbol to an Abarth symbol. Thinking of the 'plug' genuine Fiat you know deep down that the quality isn't there but it works. It might beat plastering Abarth all over the 500 which puts Abarth to shame since they tried to remove all evidence of Fiat on their cars.
With the Alfa symbol it has a deep history but honestly it's wasted on me. I did buy a Cloverleaf badge which is a 'lucky' 4 leaf shamrock and put them on the wings last week. That made more sense to me. And ironically some QV drivers were looking to remove theirs since it confused others thinking that they were supporters of a well known Scottish football team.

I think if Fiat though 'hard about it' they might end up changing the Fiat logo but there is simplicity in it and that in itself has charm.

back in 1979 deep in maths and loving everything to do with universe I proudly painted e=mc2 on both sides of my 100cc honda saddle, I am sure I looked like a cock riding that small bike... I realised I should have gone the whole hog and modified the entire bike. Personally I don't think a big Fiat sticker alone will do the trick
