What are these seats? Can't seem to find them on the US configurator. When I choose Bianco (BNW) with Ivory Ambience, Lounge model, the only seats with Ivory Ambience that are cloth that come up are brown and ivory checked. Am I missing something, or do you guys just have more Lounge seat options?

https://www.fiatforum.com/members-motors/223675-2010-bossa-nova-white-1-2-lounge.html

They are the same as mine. Blue chequered seats in the Lounge referred to as the Houndstooth (don't know why  I used to call it the houndscloth but I was corrected :)).

Could you 'live' with the browny ones in your US setup - they look OK on configurator - do you have a picture ?
The Lounge seats in my opinion are better seats that the Pop seats. The fabric is better but gets dirty more easily but you can supaguard which has had mixed success. You 'sit' into them more but they would not be as 'huggy' as the sports 'bucket' seat from the Sport. And if you spent the money on 'heat' in the Lounge - it's an extra that should be justified since you have the Climate control 'in place' for the fixed sunroof.

p.s. Heat is not an option on the Pop, so that's out.

These are our gray seats with the Pop...

Nice spec - everything is nicely co-ordinated. Those wheels are the Sports wheels off the Euro model - good wheels - worth the $500. Also wouldn't put chrome inserts (divided opinions on this) on the Red car - the painted bumper look is very much a Euro Sport look and quite a few males who have bought 500s are de-chroming. Although I like the chrome inserts on the White and the Black.

EDIT: In the flesh this should look fabulous and stand out. I have a weak spot for decent reds.

Yes, if the red seats in the Pop were more of this cranberryish red I would like them. Like the burgandy top on the cabrio - I think that's a beautiful color, and can't for the life of me figure why they "match RED RED seats with the burgandy cloth top. To me is doesn't go.

Here is the Bianco (our BNW) with Ivory ambience and gray seats.

I'll try and find a picture of the checked Lounge seats. Yes, the salesperson told me yesterday they were upgraded seats. Didn't know if he was just selling me.

I know - I'm being a PIA. As my husband says - "Just pick one!!" I think he likely won't come with me next time - too embarrassed that I've been there 3 times already. He's the type to just walk in and pick the first car he sees, so he doesn't understand.

He even said to the the salesperson yesterday - this is it! Well, I wasn't ready. I wanted to discuss the seats - which I'd never seen the choices for, and see some "in the flesh".

I may take a long time to decide, but it's a big purchase and I intend to have the car a long time, so I want to be happy with it.

You two should get a room, lol.

:yeahthat:
Well Tony. I don't need much encouragement. I was getting a little borderline in the electric sunroof thread and practically propositioned one of the FF members sister-in-laws (does that sound right  ) only for your timely intervention. ;)

Here's a better picture of the tan houndstooth cloth seats available with white ambience in our Lounge
Had a look at the pics of the houndstooth (I have to thank grimwau's watchful eye for this :p) and I thought it looked pretty good. It appears as a creamy brown and I reckon it will last 'the test of time'. Just may sure you have a good local guy who can valet the seats on a bi-annual basis and no kiddies chocolate sweets on the back seats.:)
So let's put this forward...
BNW
Lounge
Houndstooth cloth
Heat
Spare wheel
(Leave the wheels as they are - every cent counts)
$20,300 (includes Spare $100 and heat & mirror @ $700)

If you can do without the heat => $19,600

Is there any room for manoeuvre on those delivery & extra charges -> $800  some of the commercial dealers in Dublin will half the delivery - see if you can get your OH to bluff on the figures - he wouldn't be so emotionally involved on getting the car. Have the wee deposit in cash in the hand and once they smell the $ a deal will be done.

This will keep the price below the physiological $20K

IMHO the creamy brown check will go well with the BNW. Unsure about it on the Red with this interior. Tart the Pop up with a colour whilst with the Lounge stay with the classy BNW and the chequered interior.

Almost there.....

Given the loan amount I qualify for (and the payment I want to keep this thing at), with the taxes, fees, etc. - all in - I've figured the car can't be more than $18,700. So that restricts me to the Pop.

With a base of $16,500 for an auto trannie, I can add $2,200 worth of options.

Sunroof - $850
Spare - $100 (this one kills me)
Mags - $500 (I hate the standard tires - BTW, we don't have 16 alloys as a choice here on the Pop)

That leaves me $750 to do something with - if I go with the Pearl Red, that's $500 right there and some left over for a nice dinner out.

Alternatively, I could go with the spare, the mags, and the heated leather seats and skip the sunroof. That puts me over by about $100 but is doable.

Trying to figure out which spec is more marketable for resale.

I'm defintely going with either Peal Red, Rosso (regular red - don't like as much), or BNW with gray and ivory seats and ivory ambience. I'll look at it again, but don't think I can do the red/ivory seats in the BNW. Just didn't like them.

If I go with the BNW (my original favorite), I would like to add the chrome, but don't see it here on the US configurator. Not an option?

Also don't see that cute Italian winged flag, nor the ESP people talk about. Maybe some of the options aren't listed on the website?

One other thing I was wondering was if this car has a direct connect for iPod?

Should have this wrapped up this week. Plus the dealer has several red and BNW cars on the lot, so may be able to take one home!

I think FF will be hoping for that as well :)

Budget firmly fixed

15 inchs give the best ride the 16s look the business but the only ones you have in this size is the masculine 5o-spokes.

Eat in and get something you'll have within the budget. :)

1. Get what you want. 2. Worry about the re-sale afterwards but don't over personalise.

Would not recommend the chrome on the Red - for re-sale quite a few people prefer the painted bumpers. On the White I would try and get them fitted. Budget for $100. Be nice to the dealer. Not an option on the configurator.

An accessory item - ordered seperately but before car is given to you so the dealer can stick it on.
ESP - standard fit - listed under traction control - you get this for free !
One other thing I was wondering was if this car has a direct connect for iPod?
USB connection down by the gear 'stick'. New version does not need a special conversion dongle. Might need a software update to 5.5 so that the iphone4 works (this is not officially supported) but the 3Gs wil definitely work (I could be wrong on this - special Blue & Me area for any probs)

If you look after your cars (I meant really look after them) then go with the Pearl Red. Questoins about the hardiness of the Red in the UK but they might have licked this problem in the US - time will tell. Would still go for the free Red on the Pop.

Recommended options of the Moonroof. Forget the leather. A pop is an economy model and the sunroof will sell it later on. Pearl red will get you noticed. :)

P.S. The spare wheel is a bargain. Some road assists insist on you having a spare wheel if you get a flat- check the small print.

I'm sure you'll be happy to learn it's done now - really done. Purchased, signed, sealed and pick up on Saturday.

It's been a long road, & too many choices for me, I think.

I went to the dealer this week and looked at a Pop BNW with red seats and a sunroof, and was OK with the headroom with the seat all the way down. My OH was OK by tilting the passenger seat back a bit. So went in to order the car since there was only one on the lot and it was sold.

Turns out that no more order can be placed at this dealership - they said it's Fiat saying so - who knows - because they have too many unsold cars on the lot. They told me I could come back at the end of July "maybe" and place an order, and wait until Sept/Oct to get the car.

So went back to the idea of the Cabrio - 1 left on the lot - Pop, BNW, red seats, which I drove, but wasn't happy with it. I didn't feel that comfortable backing up, and mostly it was just really loud. Had driven another Cabrio and it wasn't so. Plus it was more than I wanted to spend.

So finally decided - based on my original criteria - a cute car that will get me from A to B with A/C and was not hard on the pocketbook.

In the end I "settled" for a Pearl White Pop with red and white seats and Bluetooth and spare. No sunroof, no mags. I'm happy with it, as it was affordable at $17,600.

I really wanted the BNW but there were none on the lot, and I really wanted mags, and would have liked the sunroof, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. I could have gone either way. I actually like having more headroom.

It was pouring buckets when we went back after deciding the cabrio was not "it" and knowing I didn't want to wait until Oct for my car, found two similar Pops. but couldn't tell them apart. I didn't realize one had mags and one didn't. I asked the salesperson - who by this time I think was annoyed with me - and he told me it was the Bluetooth. It wasn't. Why he couldn't have looked it up on the computer, not sure. Anyway, it worked out, as I added remote start to my car, a long-wanted feature for out zero degree days in the winter. I will save for the mag rims, transfr the tires, get some snows, and keep the standard hubs as the winter set.

Thanks all for your help and patience. I'm sure I will love my car!

Well macdebbie :) - congratulations (y)(y)(y)

A great price (y) and a great colour (my favourite) (y) and a very nice 'easy to sell' interior. The red adds that splash of colour and 'lifts the car'. Some individuals have advertised those interiors (now they are chancers) as half leather because the top half of the seat was 'leather' :) ;). Your Pops are a very good spec with Blue&Me, Splits, Air Con and of the course the NEW spec and cheaper  than a UK priced equivalently 500 '2010 model' by quite a margin. You are genuinely getting a bargain plus the 4 year warranty including 3 years 'wear & tear'.(y)

You will love the Pearly white and with the white ambiance you don't need the glass roof. I did check the US web site on the head clearance and it states that a 6ft 3inch person will fit - so it should be very spacious.

Enjoy - looking forward to the pictures.

Yes, I think that is a good deal. Didn't include the $299 "admin" fee, but found out that includes the running to the registry, and all of that work, fees, etc.

I'm still a bit annoyed about the mags and the fact the dealer wouldn't take the time to find out the differences on the 2 Pops - the car with the mags was literally in 4 inches of water so I couldn't go near it enough to read the sticker, but I'll get over it. Of course I should have looked - I could have seen that myself, and knew it was $500 more, but he explained it was Bluetooth - one was the "old" version where it was an option you had to pay for, and "my" car was right off the truck, so it was included. Oh well, as I said, I'll get over it in a week or so....

Does anyone know what the price is ordering these "after the fact"?

Will take and post some pictures this weekend if the rain ever stops here! Beginning to think I live in Ireland!! (Just kidding - we love Ireland, even with the rain!).

Normal delivery fee charged in Ireland is €499 and 'nearly all' dealers wouldn't budge on that.

I don't think the alloys for the Pop model (there are the 15 inch sport wheels in Europe) will suit the Pearly white - IMHO the hub capped steelies are fine. If you really want the wheels you could pay him the $500 to swap the wheels - that's easily done.

I wouldn't worry about the old version. It has B&ME. The firmware can be upgraded and it will work with a lot of the newer mobiles unlike the systems in the Mercs etc which are often lagging by 3 years.

Getting now is brillant - no wait !

B&Me cannot be changed except the firmware update can be done - but that is fine. The wheels - yes @ $500 they would be a great price & would be much cheaper than buying them from Fiat - reckon it would cost at least twice as much. Irish prices are €270 for a 16 Sport wheel guess around €240 for a 15 inch. If you really want the alloys tell him you want them !

You have some money let in the kitty for that alfresco 'dinner out' which sadly has been eluding us given the recent weather 'fronts' :)

No, we have a destination charge here as well - $500. The $299 was "fees" in addition to the $500 for registry running, record-keeping, some other admin junk. They wouldn't budge on either.

I guess I can call and ask about the mags - doesn't hurt to inquire.

And yes, I have the new Bluetooth. Hear it doesn't work all the great though.
