General Best deal on TwinAir?

I was going for the iDeal and found that unless you were going for the basic car (one I'm guessing the factory has already build) they quoted me a higher apr, without the £750 discount. I made it clear that I wanted that deal and would be willing to buy there and then if they could offer it on the car I wanted (which was factory ordered because of my options). They went away and came back matching the apr and contributing the £750 deposit so I think the dealerships themeselves definitely have room to move. I ended up saving over £30 a month from what they originally quoted.
Personally the sticker price because I was going PCP wasn't as important as getting the low APR.

Can you pm me who you dealer was Vigrebrance given my experience

Good for you! The deal on the Fiat site is top drawer at the moment IMO and I see no reason why anyone should have to accept worse terms than that.

Nice try though - can't say I blame any salesperson for trying to get you to part with a bit more cash;)

The iDeal offer is available on any TWINAIR with any options, factory built or otherwise. That included the 750 discount. The only caveat I can see is 'At participating dealers only'. If your dealer dosen't participate, or pretends they don't then call another. I've said previously that the buyer must be proposed to the finance company and accpeted before the end of this month to get that deal, the car can then follow at any point.

Ihad this very problem, mentioned in different thread, they just point blank refused to sell me the car on the ideal offer, when I reported to head office they actually stated that a fiat franchise dealership does not to have to honour the ideal offer, I was quite shocked by this however I went to a dealer up the road and they sold me the car that I wanted( - the leather, 12 week wait, that's another story :)

I am starting to have issues with the i-deal.

It appears the car needs to be registered by the end of March to qualify for the £750. Only cars that can be registered by end of March are either in stock or already on their way.

The dealer I am dealing with is seeing whats available and will call me back tomorrow morning.

Ben

My car is on order and is due 'at the end of March'. I was told that I qualify for the discount but at the moment I still don't know when it's arriving so there's no guarantee that it will be registered by 31st March. You've got me worried now so I'll give the dealer a call during the week to clarify whether I can still get the discount if the car is registered after 31st March

If your car is ordered your finance is proposed and accepted fiat finance will honour the deal if the car comes later than march ,if your dealer says otherwise say to them you will take this up with fiat uk

Good luck to both of you and I hope that you do indeed get it sorted.

I guess Fiat can fall back on the "Offer may be varied and withdrawn at any time" quoted in the Terms and Conditions online.

I do actually have time for retailers who try to get the best possible deal for their company (at the end of the day we all need to make money), but these sort of wishy-washy deals really get on my nerves.

There's nothing illegal about them of course, but it does wind me up when customers are "reeled in" based on certain info that doesn't include the whole picture. I wouldn't expect Fiat to give a breakdown of every single potential cost as that would just be silly (and would probably put people off), but what I don't like is for headline rates to be quoted that you probably can't get.

this is 100% correct. You can order the exact car you want and not have to rely on stock currently in the uk. Just do it before the end of March..

Thats not what I am being told by dealers. The current line is that the cars must be registered by end of March.

That's because they want to put you in a stock car for a registration in march it's big for dealers to hit targets in march as it's a new registration month and end of 1st quarter so hitting these targets could set there allocation of new cars for the rest of the year

Surely you meant to say 'will set their level of bonus for Q1'

Cheers

I have been made an astonishingly low offer for a new Twinair by Harry at Arnold Clarke. I dont want this sound like an advert but it's very cheap.

I have finally reached a deal. Got a very good price on my trade in and alloy wheels thrown in. Overall happy with it.

Car should arrive within 2 weeks.

popped into my local dealer today Hartwell in Abingdon, had a brief chat with the sales manager who were willing to honour the Fiat PCP deal and hopefully throw in a few bits on a factory order (he did explain why others may not be so keen to offer it) as it is at the dealers discretion

going to have another test drive and hopefully order this week

in reality if i was going cash i would order through Broadspeed to get a better cash deal

thanks to people on the forum for their help
