Hi
I am the new owner of a 57 plate 500 1.4 sport and I have noticed a fairly random noise in first gear. It doesn't happen every time but when you are setting off in first gear and just at the bite point there is a funny squeaking noise - sounds a bit like the rear brakes squeaking. First time it happened I thought it was the car behind me who had squeaky brakes then realised it was me!!! I think today it also happened when I had clutch depressed and just touched the brake. I'm confused! :confused:

Otherwise all well, except for noisy heater fan! Biggest thing to get used to is the rubbish turning circle! :eek:

Or get a 1.2 and have a fabulously tight turning circle.
 
Does it make the sound in reverse too? My brakes squeak a little in reverse and sometimes they rub while reverse parking if i turn sharply.

My old Punto made the same sound in reverse so i know its nothing to worry about.
