General Parking Sensors

Yep, no more room for improvement & any operation would be 50/50 if it made it better or worse, I know I can cope perfectly well with what I have so better the devil you know & all that.

Yep. Well technology is always moving on so lets hope something comes along which can make it just that bit better for you (y)

Hello all, looking for a bit of advice. My wife owns a 1.4 lounge, which we bought when it was a year old. Her sister got a new car with rear parking sensors and apparently this is a "must have" option now........women!
Does anyone know if retro fitting them onto the car is possible? Or anyone know any good aftermarket systems? Had a look on Fiat website but doesnt seem to list it......also id probably be cheaper buying a new car anyway:)

P.S. Also any tips on a good cleaning product for the checkered seats?

Cheers for any advice.
use this one mate, fitted in a couple of hours

Feel for you Mark - as I have a similar affliction, though probably not as serious as yours. I have a "turn" in my left eye which means I have compromised depth perception at certain focal lengths - those being the lengths needed for precise parking. However when I cover my right eye - bang !! the left snaps back into its normal position.

This has happened late in life. Many examination's by top surgeons to which the most common response had been "oh, that is usual" Like you, surgery will not guarantee any result, including getting worse. So I drive like an Italian but park like a little old man - I can live with that

I've fitted some sensors with a reverse camera and the display is in the mirror. Verry useful, especially at night because the camera is an IR one. Best 100 E spent!

I use a proper carpet cleaning machine with a hose attachement to lift the dirt out of the Fabric. I did try a lot of 'magic' Fabric stain removers but they didn't really work. The cost of getting the Fabric properly valetted is really work it.. At least you will be able in 'sit' in the car within an hour or two if it has beem done properly. The checkered Fabric in your Lounge is good quality and it is work maintaining it.

I did not say I disapprove of them. I think they are great and the last 6 new cars I have brought have had them, apart from the 500 so I fitted them.

Slightly off the topic... would you know which wire I need to conect my after market reverse camera to? I am very very consued. I just bought Yada Reverse Camera. I have attached picture of my reverse tail light

Just unclip the backing plate holding the bulbs and trace the metal conductor back from the reverse lamp housing.
