Why do people wear gloves when putting fuel in their car? Fuel goes in the car, not over your hands.

Well for some unknown reason the person that always uses the pumps before me gets it all over the handle, so i wear the gloves provided

lol very true. Anyway that cost comp is completely rediculous since it ignores the single largest factor in any car purchase: the residual in absolute terms.

I have the 1.3 ByDiesel.
I found the 1.2 to be a bit gutless to be honest. The Diesel has a bit more poke and better fuel economy. 71 MPG is not to be sniffed at!

get the petrol, the diesel is reeeeally front heavy handling wise and the engine is very rough and grumbly, plus its a huge amount more money compared to the low price of the car in the 1st place. I found the diesel very laggy, and ragging about in a fairly low mileage one I got 45mpg, not great, obviously would be better if I drove like a pensioner though. Our 1.2 petrol averages 53.5 mpg over mixed motoring, and is far more fun to drive.
Plus noone likes to use the black pump really do they! You get covered in diesel and everyone thinks you're cheap hehehe
