I'm sorry you guys have had such an issue with the B&M lady... When she was working, she understood everything I said... to the point where I was confident to use the dial function (where you speak the number)!! :D Again, since she's been back and working all is well again, so I use her for music navigation and calling people.

It actually works better than I thought it would... And my phone doesn't read out texts :p

Confident enough to use the dial function? Bloody hell you are confident.

I pick my one year old 1.4 sport up on Monday.I'm looking forward to seeing this Blue and me thing.I imagine its a bit different from my Renault Scenics Radio/Cassette player!
Oggie.

Yeah I've enjoyed the blue and me, well I did but my microphone has gone now, I think, so she's off in for a fix.

Before that though she was quite responsive and fairly easy to use. Unlike the bloody ecodrive!!!

Haha.... you guys should have heard the B&M try to speak norwegian:p As the B&M lady only speak english, so when I am trying to say something to her I have to say it in English..... Voice recognition in Norway is not worth a cent.... really bad:( But other than that it is fine in My Bravo, has stopped working in my 500! Going in too repair in december together with the exhaust manifold recall(y)

My mates find it increasingly funny to shout out things when I'm trying to choose folders...and listen to Cindy say her 'for help say help' command.

Text message thing is comedy though, especially if mates text moaning about said mates who are in car 'CANCEL CANCEL CANCELLLL'

Does any one even use genres as a selection criteria...?!

Yes eco drive whilst interesting does annoy, trying to make you change gears when your car is clearly not at high enough revs. Making my journey shudder tastic if I follow it.

Its a 2 minute job changing the microphone, let garage know in advance (they should have one in stock) that your turning up & within 5 minutes you'll be driving away without having to shout....save that for the hubby;)

Quick update-

Dropped the car off yesterday morning after a two week wait because the Blue & Me technician was on holiday.

I explained to them that it was the microphone and guess what? I had a call yesterday lunchtime to say " we've tested your car and it's the microphone that's the problem, so we've ordered you a new one"

Is it me????????? :bang:

the most annoying B&M feature is when she starts ranting on you at a trackday when you are drifting sidewards on opposite lock through a chicane at 80mph

most distracting (n)

and on another topic the bloody hazard lights under heavy braking :bang:

i have had to start telling people about it at the driver briefing as it freaks people out - embaressing:rolleyes:

You can't just order warranty parts because a customer says that's what they think is wrong.

We'd regularly have people come in with faulty laptops where I used to work and say "it's got a faulty part x" and more often than not they were wrong.

Common feature on new cars these days. Good feature though! Not great for trackdays though!

Fair point, but still pretty frustrating nonetheless

I can certainly understand that :) The problem is that when people are allowed to self diagnose things go wrong rather frequently :p I went in with some dodgey washers last night and they had the parts in stock but just not the time to fit them :p

I'll happily order warranty (non-returnable) part(s) if customer insists thats the fault aslong as they sign a statement that they pay for them in full inc labour if its wrong...no takers yet:(

*puts on 500 owner cap*

You horrible horrible man! :p How can you be so mean! This forum is about love, friendship, happiness, etc etc and not about being correct, right or factual

*takes 500 owner cap off*

Ah that's better :)

lol...seriously though look at the hundreds (thousands) of threads which as you read through them say 'changed egr, airflow meter, lambda, crank sensor etc etc' but still wont start'! ....waste of time & money!

The simple fact is when diagnosing a fault expect the unexpected, just because you have had a similar fault it does not mean its the same again.

Lets also not forget alot of parts cannot be fitted without prior approval so even though the garage will agree with you its still not their decision.

Was exactly the same when I worked in a laptop repair place. People would say I think it's "part x" and demand that we order it in without looking at their car :D No is what I would say to them :p
