Tuning Bilstein B14 Review

Well the Bilstein's are a quality bit of kit. IMHO the Eibach springs will only partly fix the issue at best.

I have just had fitted the Koni FSDs to our 1.4 sport (Wednesday). I had both standard and SS Abarth springs available but in the end opted to try out the standard springs first.

Just back from a 250 mile test drive, fast A roads, country lanes and motorway and I am extremely pleased with the results.

Its totally transformed the car and given me confidence in the car that I have previously struggled with.

Whereas everything seemd disconnected it now seems finally sorted. Time will tell.

Look who joined the Bilstein B14 Fiat 500 club! Will fit them tomorrow.

Ok guys got them fitted! I am running 605 mm front and 625 mm rear, (I think I was 635 front and 655 rear before). Its really not that low no problems bottoming out the car (it was 595 mm front initially with the front ride hight at the middle section but I said that's way too low for Greek roads so I raised it even though Bosch car service was encouraging me to keep it that level and lower the rears to match!)

Car handles like no other, its literally on rails, so far I have not managed to reach the limits, but it seems the limits are tire grip and not suspension.

About firmness? To be honest its really not that bad but yes speed bumps can be a bit of an annoyance and you feel everything on the road!

Will update as I drive more and more.

Further update. With the billies the turn in speed is much higher but not it exposes the short wheelbase of the car which makes it nervous!
