Hello this is my first post, I am about to buy a black 1.2 by Diesel 500.
So i thought I would pop in and say hello.

My current car is a 2008 Audi TT but it is time for a change, I am getting the 500 as an every day car and also getting a 60's Porsche 912 as a fun sunny day and weekend car.

I like the idea of £35 road tax and 50ish MPG.

As soon as I get the car I will put some photos up (photography is what I do)

What made you go for the byDiesel version? (just curious)
Ah I'll have to wait till I pay off the 500 before I have the joy of a weekend car too

I went for the car because it has the options i wanted and the dealer had a new one just come in so i did not have to wait.

Might be worth finding the extra £3000 or so for a 911? Although on the early 911s the handling isn't as good as the 912, and extra 90 kg beyond the rear axle makes a big difference.

been viewing forum for a while- I picked up my black byDiesel on Saturday chose it for pretty much the same reasons too- dealer had forgotten they ordered it way back in may!! So only a couple of weeks wait!

Absolutely love it- getting a lot of strange looks too lol

I know what you are saying but I like the idea of the flat 4, I just don't need to drive fast anymore (i must be getting old)

Glad you are enjoying the car. I did not have the patience to wait, my last car i had to wait for 8 months and i almost went mad.

Yeh I didn't fancy the 3/4 month wait either. 8 months! Blimey! Now that I wouldn't be able to cope with lol
