I want one of these babies but need to know how tall drivers find the driving experience. Any comments would be great :)

Chris

How tall are you? Im not a 500 owner yet, but ive test driven a few, and the only problem ive found is that I could not have the glass roof as it lowers the head room too much. I'm 6'2".

Definitely not a candidate for the glass roof then ;)

Go and test drive a few. Its the only way you'll really know for sure. Make sure you try one that has the right trim level for you too. Sport seats are different to Pop seats for example, and you may find one type more comfortable than the other.

The lounge trim was the trim I was looking at but the comments about the blind making the roof lower might have put me off. Will have to go and try one out I suppose :)

I am 6'2" and have the fixed glass roof. Fine with the sunblind back but no good at all with the blind in position. Yes the seats adjust but all FIAT seats seem to be set very high even on the lowest position.

I'm 6'6" and fit in my Panda fine, of the 500's I've driven I was fine in one but not in another but I think that was because it was a very early one with skydome which eats into the headroom (I don't think it's available as an option any more.....)

Im 6.2 and a bit, and we've got a 1.4 sport with no roof, and I've no probs at all........The seat does feel a little high but that's just the car...I've actually had 4 mates in the car at the same time, and we are all well over 6 foot!! cossy but we got in and out over 10 miles OK!:D

Thanks for the info.

Went to see one in the flesh today. I want one NOW!!! LOL :)

Unfortunatley the offer on my current car wasn't quite what I was expecting, so am going to have to do some saving :(

Maybe one day....

Chris

In what country? Certainly not in the UK! (on the 500)

What about these:

50 to 500 is a straightforward way of funding a Fiat 500 if you have a large deposit. You simply put down 50% of the on-the-road price as a deposit, driving away with nothing to pay until two years later.

After 24 months you then pay the outstanding 50% of the on the road price, plus interest charges.

or

500p per day is a unique way of funding a Fiat 500.

In summary, you simply put down a small deposit, then for the next 24 months you can drive your Fiat 500 for 500 pence per day (equivalent to £152.08 per month).

After 24 months, a different rental profile or monthly sum will be applicable depending on the initial deposit and the on-the-road price of your Fiat 500.

or

Fiat i-deal provides you with a flexible and affordable way of buying your new Fiat 500. This finance method is perfect if you don’t have a large deposit, and monthly payments are kept low due to the fixed guaranteed future value of the vehicle.

This fixed value protects you from the uncertain trends of the car market, and also gives you greater flexibility at the end of the finance agreement.

Those are not great finance deals. Especially compared to what is being offered for the Punto and Bravo.

i agree, never said they were great, i said they were offering "pretty good" finance deals

options nonetheless if you cannot get better finance elsewhere...

i guess they don't need to try as hard to sell 500's as they do Grande Puntos and Bravos...
