You don't really think they usually get a Ferrari as a courtesy car do you?

BMW drivers don't get a Citroen C1 when they get the 5 series serviced. They get another BMW.

If i owned a ferrari and they wanted to give me a standard 100bhp 500 id laugh in their face! :D

Ditto :p

I knew about this cos a friends cousin works at a ferrari service centre where they are not happy about having wee 500s on their site and know some of the ferr. customers will not be happy to be given a 500.

Some will think its a ****ing insult and dont want reminding their ferr is related to a Fiat.

Its like telling your customer you think hes too big for his boots so heres a courtesy car as small as you can find to match the size of his dongle.

whoever dreamed the idea up never workd as a service advisor. (n)

Well of course if they don't like it. They can **** off to a different dealer or not bother getting a courtesy car.

Is it OK to say that to customers now?:D
If so I might try and get my old job back

When I worked at a garage, we had to listen to cr*p from customers and just take it even though we were doing them favours organising courtesy cars, or taxiing them round to their work via the launderette or whatever.

Were they grateful for all this
Were they ****

Does it really matter what you get, as long as you get a car surely its irrelevant what it is?
Some people can be so fussy its ridiculous.

Sometimes it matters. Just today I've taken my other half's Subaru for a service (ouch!) and was supposed to get a couple of years old Skoda (don't laugh) but it wasn't back so I got K reg Astra with 115000 miles on the clock, sounded like a deasel (I had to ask but it was petrol ), no power steering, broken rearview mirror, (but the radio worked!), and the most annoying reverse I ever saw. That proved important later as while I was fumbling to get the thing into the reverse I managed to brake the back window as I reversed into a tree (ooops ). Cost me only £50 plus VAT to put right though as it was already an old banger... The good news I saved some money on service as it was a Subaru specialist but not overpriced Subaru dealer. Definitely worst car I ever drove...

I guess this works both ways. How long before my Fiat dealer has a courtesy Funk White 599GTB?
