Hi, new owner and im doing a service myself and as part of it i decided to charge the battery!

Just went to put it back in and the connections to the battery do not have + and - symbols on then to know which is which! Result is that Im kind of stumped and dont want to connect it up the wrong way.

Can anyone shed any light into which connector goes onto which battery terminal? i.e. left as you look into the boot is + and right is negative!

The - ( negative ) connector comes from the bodywork ,which on mine comes from behind the battery .

If it is as original and has round terminals, the two posts and hence the clamp-terminals are of different sizes; positive being bigger.
As original, the left-hand as looking into the boot from the front is negative. Sometimes the positive cable is red, The positive should have a protective cover that can be pulled back.
Connect the positive first.

Thanks all! all done but now broke the lug bolt in drum housing after bleeding breaks!!
