can anyone recommend a quality outdoor car cover for my 500. Any pros or cons to using them - condensation etc ?

look on the 'Fiat 500 Enthusiasts Club' site----they have an 'outside' specification car cover. It is semi-tailored, with an elasticated bottom. It comes with a very high rating from 'Classic Car' It's not cheap, but you only get what you pay for, and it is a lot cheaper than repairing the ravages of weather.

Hi I don't know where you are situated.I have recently bought a cover for my classic fiat
500 from Recambio International. They are situated in Surrey.They have all kinds of spares for classic fiats and you can order on line.The car covers are specially made for classic 500ards with a breathable waterproof material.They are a bit expensive but well worth it.
I am very happy with the one i bought

i have seen one on amazon for about £42, which i looked at to cover a convertible (if i ever get around to getting one ) it looked ok and was fitted for the 500

I got a great outdoor cover from Hamiltons. It was a little pricey, but worth the money. I went for the small car cover, which works for 500s and Minis.

I got this one. It's a custom cover. It fits like a glove. You can get it with mirror pockets also if you wish.

Hi Guys, I wanted to re-check in on this thread since the last answer was from 2014. Looking for any suggestion for a low cost outdoor cover for a 1974 Fiat 500R. The last post for the Covercraft Noah Custom Car Cover looks perfect but it's pretty pricey compared to covers I bought on Amazon and ebay for the other cars before. Curious if anyone found a good small car cover on USA Amazon or ebay or other which is good, maybe not perfect but good enough, and at a good price?

Not to sound too cynical, there are some drawbacks if you choose the wrong cover. 100% waterproof ones if made of plastic can do more harm than good. You need one that fits your vehicle with straps, you don't want one flapping about scratching the paintwork. Buy cheap & you'll regret it. Buy the best you can afford & read up on recommended covers, after all how much to you value your pride & joy....

Rather than a 'cover' that fits ON the car, do you have the space to have one of the 'framed' covers that sits OVER the car?

Have you got a photo of one of those?

I don't have a picture of one of the 'framed' covers, but if you go on-line and look at "framed car covers" you will see a variety of them---"Clark" (Machine mart) seem to do quite a sturdy version.

Thanks for the feedback, maybe I'm dense. but not finding good links on reading up on this. Also, very few hits for covers for vintage fiat 500 other than from specific parts dealers.

Google is your friend.......BEST CAR COVERS. & hey presto a plethora of what you want.

Look on the ---"www.sheltersofamerica.co" site---they have a big range of portable, framed vehicle covers. Not specifically for a 500, but the smaller models would be perfect for what you need.
