650cc engine and synchro transmission

Hello, is any one familiar or has used the engine or synchro gearbox from the Polish company, RICAMBI FIAT COM, I was wondering if their products are of a good standard. They sell complete 650cc engines and syhchronised gearbox to match and the price isnt too steep. I am not too sure of the quality.

Re: 650cc engine and synchro transmission

I can't be too sure but I think the engine and gearbox I have just purchased are from there. I got mine from a Polish guy who was selling it on ebay. It certainly looks exactly the same as the website (I have the red one). The quality looks okay but I haven't been able to get it running yet as I'm waiting on a starter motor to turn up. Once it's all in and running I'll let you know and post some pictures here.

Thanks for the reply, it does sound like the same engine, did it not come with the motor starter, anything else missing or you need to buy extra?

Thanks again

It came with a starter but it was broken. Generally though I dont think they come with starters. If you're putting it in a 500 you will have to change the driveshafts aswell.

Re: 650cc engine and synchro transmission

I recommend reading a post written by jcang0408. He purchased a 650 engine and gearbox from poland and had issues with the transmission and the engine. I certainly don't know if it is the same supplier, but buyer beware.
Here is the thread.
