General Considering buying a Fiat Spitfire.. I have some questions!

I would still have to say the Spitfire was a nicer car to drive and also looked much nicer. The X19 was nice, but you can't beat a Spitfire with the roof down.

The good thing about the Spitfire was the fact everything was only held on with a couple of bolts. I had a nightmare with the brakes on the X19 binding all the time. I would have to admit the brakes on the Spitfire didn't bind because they didn't work all that well and sometimes coming up to a bend it would have been nice if they had done a bit of binding.

Brakes? What brakes. You dont need brakes when its rear wheel drive and very happy to prove it :D

OK, you probably should surrender your driving licence back to the authorities and consider public transport. :)

It might be cheaper, and less frustrating then trying to find an affordable and economical car! (Though.. the perverts that usually use the same method of transportation, and the fact that the sanitary level is a negative number on a scale of 1-10 is a definite downside..)

Like I said, the car would end up being simply too much money to fix. Plus, I'm not the most car savvy person, (wow, there's the understatement of the year ;)) and all of the work to be done on it, would have to be done by a professional. Which means more money on parts AND labor, which I simply can't budget.

On the other hand, thanks for all of your help, I really appreciate it! Even though I posted about a Triumph in a Fiat forum (stupid mistake, yes, but I digress), you still took the time to offer advice, which was really nice of you. Thanks to all who helped, I wont be getting the car, but I still appreciate the time you took to offer some insight. :D
