Hi all,
New to the forumeeting and not much of a gearhead. I was in the process of moving my 1981 spider into storage a couple of months ago and had trouble starting and keeping it running. I found the air intake hose had come partially off. I noticed that the car was leaking fuel from the front end/engine through all of this and was not sure if the two were related. I understood that if the air intake had a leak or bad connection it would cause too much air to be mixed with the fuel and less fuel would be sent to the engine. Any thoughts on if these are related issues or separate? The hose is reattached and it drove fine on the way to storeage but what may have been residual fuel continued to leak.
Thanks
