I just bought a 77 Spider, nothing like driving with the top down.

But I should change the fluids as I don't know when they were last done. I have been doing some reading all over the web and I know I should use 15/40 for the motor and I have read some people using 20/50. Which would be better? I also need to know what to put in the tranny and differential. I suspect the radiator doesn't just use a regular preston mix either?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Pray for sun...

Thanks

Bill

Hei.

The numbers 20/50 etc. is a description of the oils ability to lubricate in low and high temperatures. I´m having difficulties explaining because english isn´t my native language, but it´s best to how an oil that´s thin when it´s cold and thick when it´s hot. Low number/high number is best: 5/50 (usually synthetic) .
