Hey!

I have a problem with the Airbag system on my Stilo JTD
I`ve scaned the Airbag ECU with FES and I have 5 errors. Can you please help me figured out ?

The only one I know is the OCS problem. I`ve solded the wires on 4 orange connectors (under the driver and passenger seat and in the boot)

Thanks!

If i remember right value too high = too much resistance on the circuit, I could be completely wrong though, and as you have said the other fault is the OCS mat in the passenger seat

Hello

Did you use a proper Fiat scanner to diagnose those faults? Reason I ask is that I had an airbag failure on my Stilo. I took it to this bloke who had a scanner and he brought up similar faults to what you have. However I took it to Fiat for a second opinion and they only diagnosed a faulty OCS under the passenger seat. So I took the car in and they changed the sensor and fault gone (y). I'm glad I paid Fiat the extra money to use their scanner otherwise I would have brought a new squib, linkages in the steering column and OCS etc and if that didn't sort it then it would have been a expensive waste of money! In the end it was just the sensor.

Another example, on this other machine it brought up a faulty EGR valve error however the Fiat one didn't!

If you haven't, then it may be worth while getting it on the Fiat machine. Maybe cost less in the long run.

EDIT: I've just seen the FiatECUscan logo on the screenshots. Would that be the same as what the dealer uses?

Thanks for your reply. I will lent a good OCS from a friend and see if the Airbag light comes off

FiatECUScan is not the original Fiat Examiner. You can download it from www.fiatecuscan.net

After cleaning the connector in the glove box I`ve left with only 3 errors:
- OCS
- Side Airbag (passenger)
- Side Airbag (driver)

Update!

After replacing the OCS still remains 2 errors: Side Airbag, driver and passenger

Side Airbag is that in the seat? Or on the roof ?

Thanks!

Aha, you soldered the wires on each connector. :) Sorry about that. I have cut the orange connectors out aswell and solderet the wires together. By the way, the connectors for the rear seats are in a perfect pickposition for kids's hands or feet.
