Hi there,

About 6 months ago now i bought a fiat panda 1.1 active for my first car. To test drive the car was a dream nothing wrong when on tick over. It was only 3 weeks later that the car then developed a misfire when the EML light came on. Now this misfire is intermittent and I stress that. I can drive about 10 miles without one and then all over a sudden will get a few in a row and then back to normal like nothings happened. It sometimes also drops to 2 cylinders when idling at traffic lights... :(

Now i have changed all the normal stuff: sparkplugs and leads, coil packs, crank shaft sensor and have had my ecu sent off for diagnostics and has come back without any faults.

Having a real hard time sussing out what this is, can you guys who may have had the same problems help?

Dominic

It's reported there is a wiring fault with the loom from the ECU to the coils.
It only seems to effect the 1.1's.

From what I have read it seems it is some coil signal wire breaking down.

There have been a few posts regarding this, someone had the wire found and fixed by getting it resoldered, but I gather the Fiat fix is to replace this part of the loom.
